Have you successfully helped a loved one or a mentee enter the workforce? OAR is seeking people like you to serve as Hire Autism navigators and help job seekers launch their search for meaningful employment.
OAR’s adult employment initiative, Hire Autism, provides job seekers with free résumé and cover letter reviews as well as online resources to successfully launch job searches more effectively. Many of our job seekers greatly benefit from professional mentorship and support to polish their résumés and cover letters. This is an ideal role for volunteers with at least 10+ years of professional experience who can help job seekers navigate their job searches. OAR’s first trained navigators have begun helping Hire Autism job seekers with various aspects of the employment process.
Navigators receive four hours of virtual training and are required to pass a background check. Quarterly training sessions begin on January 8. If you’re interested in becoming a Hire Autism navigator, learn more about the role and its requirements.
