gotowebinar3OAR is hosting a free webinar that addresses problem behavior using a successful team approach on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1 p.m. ET, featuring Jane Barbin, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA. Register now or share information about the live, hour-long event, which will include the presentation followed by a brief Q&A session. Parents, other caregivers, clinicians, therapists, and other professionals, including teachers and administrators, are encouraged to participate.

Webinar Description

Children with and without autism can demonstrate challenging behaviors that parents, school staff, and other caregivers often find difficult to understand or change. In this webinar, Dr. Barbin will provide attendees with an understanding of the reasons these behaviors occur, the functional assessment process and potential intervention strategies (e.g., behavior intervention plans) that can be incorporated into the classroom and extended to the home setting for improvement.

She will also discuss ways to increase positive replacement behaviors and practical application of evidence-based procedures and support the child’s school team in developing an effective plan to pave the way for a successful school year.
