Teen Wins Award For A Coding Program
In 2020, Sreenidi Bala, a teenager from Farmington, Connecticut, started a passion project that would change the lives of hundreds of autistic students.
On April 14, 2019, OAR will host its first annual Active For Autism 5K. Join us and bring your family and friends to the Potomac Yard Trail in Alexandria, Va.
This 5K will help spread autism awareness while raising money to fund life-changing research and provide free resources to families and educators. The family-friendly event will feature a safe, flat, and fast out-and-back course, kids’ dash, and post-race party.
Our inaugural Active for Autism 5K is a great opportunity for OAR to engage with our local community and supporters in Virginia and Washington, D.C. While this year’s event will primarily focus on the 5K and kids’ fun run, the goal for the future is to incorporate additional fitness and educational opportunities.
Registration for the first annual Active For Autism 5K is now open. If you are not able to make the event, you can either donate or participate as a virtual runner and receive race perks.
