As a Hire Autism navigator, volunteers work directly with job seekers to review their resumes or cover letters. They can also assist with interview preparation. Sessions and interactions with job seekers are conducted virtually and over email, so navigators must have experience with video conferencing and online collaboration tools.
Navigators complete four hours of virtual training over a two-week period. The expected volunteer commitment is one to two hours per week over three months. All prospective navigators are required to pass a background check and provide personal references.
