Past Webinar

This webinar was presented on, Wednesday, December 11, 2019, by Dr. Laura Anthony and Dr. John Strang.

Webinar Description: Unstuck and On Target (UOT) is an empirically-supported executive function intervention, with versions for elementary school, middle school, and high school. By making flexible thinking fun, UOT empowers young people with greater abilities to deal with the unexpected, set their own goals, stay organized, and plan for their future. This webinar will introduce participants to the goals and design of the UOT curriculum: how it is given, how it works, and its effectiveness. The Organization for Autism Research has funded the pilot work for all three school-based modules of UOT (elementary school, middle school, and transition to adulthood).

Laura G. Anthony, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and clinician researcher with Children’s Hospital of Colorado and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Anthony is an author of the Unstuck and On Target executive function suite of interventions. Her work focuses on community-based participatory research approaches engaging autistic youth, teachers, and families in developing new interventions.

John F. Strang, PsyD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and clinician researcher with Children’s National Medical Center and the George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Strang led the efforts to develop the middle school version of Unstuck and On Target. His work focuses neurodiversity in adolescence and transition to adulthood.
