Teen Wins Award For A Coding Program
In 2020, Sreenidi Bala, a teenager from Farmington, Connecticut, started a passion project that would change the lives of hundreds of autistic students.
On December 11, OAR hosted a webinar that highlighted Unstuck and On Target, an executive functioning intervention. The archived webinar is available to watch on OAR’s website.
Presented by Drs. Laura Anthony and John Strang, the webinar provided an insightful overview of the research progress conducted on the intervention, the goals and design of the curriculum, and example strategies from the expanded middle school program that will be available next year. OAR funded the first pilot study of the intervention in 2007.
Of the 415 webinar registrants, 150 people attended the live event. Of the 87 participants who provided feedback, 84 percent reported the content as being helpful and relevant to their needs. Ninety-four percent rated the overall webinar session as three or higher on a scale of one to five.
