OARacle Newsletter

Summer is heating up, and so are OAR’s local, in-person events. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the chance to connect with supporters, families, and new faces at two local gatherings that combined fun with purpose.

Jeni’s Sweet Support – June 25

On June 25, we teamed up with Jeni’s Ice Creams in Alexandria, Va., for a sweet give-back night. Jeni’s generously donated 25% of the events proceeds to OAR! Friends, families, and passersby stopped in to cool off with a scoop (or two) while supporting autism research. We’re grateful to everyone who came out, and to Jeni’s for making it easy to turn an afternoon treat into a meaningful contribution.

Gameday with the Nats – July 20

Nationals Park was buzzing on Sunday, July 20 as we hosted our Gameday with the Washington Nationals event featuring the Nats vs. the San Diego Padres. From the first pitch to the last inning, it was a fantastic day filled with great energy and even better company. Dozens of guests visited the OAR table to learn more about our mission, share stories, and pick up a few giveaways. Thank you so much for your support!

A special thank you goes to Moshe Eisen, who traveled down from New Jersey, and Flywheel ABA Centers for underwriting the event and helping make it all happen. Thanks to their sponsorship, we had the chance to meet new donors, raise funds, reunite with supporters, and introduce more people to the work we’re doing.

If you missed these events, don’t worry, there’s more to come.
