Check out the Neuroinclusive Healthcare Education Hub, created by All Brains Belong VT to host online resources and lived experiences for the autistic community. Partially funded through the OAR and AIR-P Community Grant in 2022 and 2023, the Hub is a collection of online resources co-created by neurodivergent healthcare professionals and patients to educate medical professionals and empower patients to get the healthcare they need.

The Hub includes the following funded resources:

Autistic and ADHD adults often have multiple intertwined health conditions, yet the healthcare system can get in the way of clinicians addressing multiple medical problems at a time. This online resource, published in 2023, provides guidance for medical professionals and autistic individuals in addressing multiple health conditions and improving the health of autistic patients.

This 2024 webinar presented by autistic physician, Mel Houser, M.D., founder and executive director of All Brains Belong VT, provides practical strategies for both clinicians and patients to improve healthcare experiences. Clinicians can learn what they can do differently. Patients can get ideas for what to ask for. To access the recording, please register for the archived webinar and then the recording will be emailed to you.

OAR and AIR-P are excited to share these published resources, which cover a range of important topics for the autism community, such as improving healthcare experiences for autistic individuals, practicing social skills to help build meaningful relationships, and navigating applications for Medicaid and Social Security.
