News and Knowledge

OAR is accepting applications for summer interns interested in working with programs and outreach staff or the Hire Autism program. Applications are due no later than March 4.

attachment-file-paper-document-school-education-graphic-iconOAR established its internship program to support program and outreach efforts, while also offering college and graduate students the opportunity to gain work experience in a small nonprofit with a national focus.

Interns work full time as an integral part of the staff during their 10-week internship. They complete meaningful projects, have their own workspaces, attend staff meetings, and offer insight when appropriate. They work closely with key staff members on projects of high value to the autism community and OAR, and gain meaningful work experience.

The ideal intern is a dynamic individual who is interested in autism and shares OAR’s passion for helping people with autism and their families. Desired skills include excellent organization, written and oral communication, and experience with graphic design and WordPress.

The application deadline for the programs and outreach internship is Monday, March 4. OAR offers a modest stipend and potential for class credit pending school approval. Questions and applications can be submitted to intern@researchautism.org.

OAR is also accepting applications for a full-time summer internship to work with Hire Autism, the adult employment initiative. Hire Autism interns receive a modest stipend and potential class credit.
