OAR invites you to check out the new Hire Autism Facebook page. As a follower or “fan” of the Facebook page, you will be able to communicate with us and keep up-to-date on all things Hire Autism-related. Through the page, OAR will share employment-related tips for individuals with autism, new job openings, business partner highlights, and program successes.
Launched last year, Hire Autism aims to help individuals with autism find jobs that match their interests and skills. Through the Hire Autism jobs portal, an individual with autism can create an online profile to showcase their strengths to autism-friendly employers willing to consider them for a range of jobs. While currently only being tested in Northern Virginia, OAR plans to expand the test of Hire Autism to greater Washington, D.C., and possibly two more locations beyond the nation’s capital in 2019.
