To commemorate National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Hire Autism has partnered with Uptimize to offer an online training program geared toward helping employers understand how to better attract, hire, and retain autistic employees.

Featuring autistic voices and experiences, this on-demand training is broken down into short video modules and contains role-specific information for human resource professionals, managers, and coworkers. Topics highlighted in the training include:

• Neurodiversity 101
• Busting myths and stereotypes
• Supporting and facilitating disclosure
• Inclusive hiring tips
• Productive coworking strategies
• Contributing to an inclusive culture

Hire Autism is providing one free training to all current business partners. Hire Autism business partners are asked to:

• Post available jobs on the Hire Autism jobs portal
• Consider autistic job seekers for a range of positions
• Include neurodiversity as part of their company’s hiring goals and strategies
• Make a firm commitment to learning more about autism and how to support neurodiverse workers

Hire Autism business partners will have the opportunity to purchase additional training at a discounted rate.
