The OARacle Newsletter

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) at UCLA are co-hosting the Community Grant Competition. This competition supports the design, packaging, and distribution of informational resources that will improve health outcomes for autistic people. This competition recognizes the expertise of community members and aims to empower community stakeholders, such as autistic individuals, family members, and community organizations, to share their knowledge in order to improve health outcomes for autistic people.

This year, we will award up to eight grants to support the development of a practical tool that can positively impact the health of autistic individuals. It is not intended as program support for ongoing programs. A full list of this year’s project priorities can be found in the Request for Applications. Grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000.

The application period opened on October 14, 2022, and closes on April 24, 2023. Winners will be notified by August 4, 2023, and receive funds as early as September 1, 2023, for a grant period lasting through August 31, 2024.
