Building on the success of OAR’s initial virtual Active for Autism 5K in 2020, the RUN FOR AUTISM team raised more than $75,000, approaching its $80,000 goal. This third annual 5K recruited more than 480 runners, representing 39 different states and 10 different countries.
OAR is deeply grateful to all of the fundraisers, donors, and sponsors who helped to make the event successful by every measure. All proceeds from the Active for Autism 5K will go to OAR’s Changing Lives Fund.
The RUN FOR AUTISM also welcomed its first Platinum Level sponsor, ONEHOPE Wine. ONEHOPE has given over $35,000 to OAR to fund scholarships and events supporting autism. “ONEHOPE has proudly supported the autism community since we were founded,” says Kristen Shroyer, co-founder and executive vice president of foundation and partnerships at ONEHOPE. “On behalf of our community, we are honored to sponsor this year’s Active for Autism Virtual 5K, and support innovative research through OAR’s Changing Lives Fund.”
