OAR has been recognized as a “top-rated” nonprofit organization for the 13th year in a row by the major charity-rating website, GreatNonprofits. GreatNonprofits provides a platform for community members to provide firsthand testimonials about the impact of nonprofit
organizations. OAR’s “top-rated” recognition is based on reviews by OAR friends, volunteers, and community partners who provided overwhelmingly positive feedback during this year’s campaign. OAR is honored and deeply appreciative of this response to its continued efforts to raise money, fund research, and change lives for autistic people and their families.
“Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a wonderful organization that provides invaluable information for individuals with autism and their families. I truly appreciate how they support everyone from children on the spectrum, to siblings and parents, all the way through helping adults plan for higher education and employment. Multiple people in my family have benefited from their toolkits, and I will continue to turn to them for keeping up with autism news, research, and resources in the future.” – Volunteer
“Thanks to the help of OAR’s Hire Autism program and the navigator they provided, my résumé is now competitive in the marketplace, and I have a new client on board. Most importantly, I have the confidence I need to succeed!” – Client served
“OAR does an incredible amount for the autism community, including scholarships, research support, and education. I know that they will continue to impact many lives for the better.” – Professional
“We have been serving neurodiverse young adults since 1989 and are proud to say that we have always had a strong partnership with the hard-working members of OAR. We recently had the pleasure of speaking in their webinar series and it was nothing short of amazing. We certainly recommend this organization to anyone interested in creating a positive impact within the ASD community.” – Professional
To be recognized as a “top-rated nonprofit” on GreatNonprofits greatly helps OAR’s fundraising efforts, and in turn, enables OAR to spread autism acceptance and understanding to a wider audience. That this recognition stems from community endorsement makes the award even more meaningful. OAR extends its sincere gratitude to GreatNonprofits for the award and to its friends and supporters for affirming OAR’s positive work within the autism community for the past 13 years.
