I love my family. I am a mother of four amazing boys, Alexander, Joshua, Max and Lucas. We love Lola our cat and Sega our lab mix. My husband, Alex is from Puerto Rico and I am from Cuba. I came to the U.S. with my parents July 1, 1970. Raised in Boston, Massachusetts.

I met my husband at University of Miami in Florida where we worked as transplant coordinators for the transplant team. I have been working with LifeLink for 26 years. So, blessed to assist others with the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. We had the privilege of living and assisting with the foundation of our LifeLink of Puerto Rico program in San Juan, Puerto Rico as well. We returned to Tampa, Florida and this has been our home. Since the year 2000 I have been involved with the Association for Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation. I was honored to have been nominated as President Elect in 2016 and soon to take my position as President September 22, 2017.

Lucas is why we are here today! Lucas lead us to OAR! Lucas is our youngest, born in Tampa, June 6, 2004.  He was 2 years old when we noticed that something was not like the others. By age 4 Lucas was diagnosed with high functioning pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS).  This rocked our world at first, not knowing what to do, where to go?  Yet, Lucas taught us! It was going to be ok and that everything will be ok. He is our biggest teacher. He is a blessing to our family. He reminds us every day through all that he brings and does. He gives me the strength to run and raise autism awareness every day!
