Learn about OAR-Funded Research Projects
We host annual research competitions to support pilot studies in applied autism research. The projects we fund have the potential to directly impact the day-to-day quality of life of autistic people. Since 2002, we have awarded more than $4.4 million in grants to support 300 studies. About Our Research Competitions
Each year, the Organization for Autism Research hosts two grant competitions to identify high-quality research studies. In keeping with our mission, the studies we fund aim to yield practical and objective results that enhance the quality of life for autistic people and provide evidence-based information for use by parents, families, educators, service providers, and autistic individuals.
We promote research in the analysis, evaluation, or comparison of assessment or treatment models, focusing on aspects of early education, behavioral, or communication intervention and adult issues such as continuing education, employment, housing models and “later intervention.”
