We know that while April has now come and gone, many of you wish to remain active, do more for the cause, or start something new. Here are some ways to do just that:
Volunteer your time
- Are you a parent or autistic person who wants to share your advice or story with others through a blog post?
- Or are you a sibling committed to teaching their classmates how to be better friends with autistic peers?
- Do you want to distribute information resources across your local community in need of autism supports?
- Do you want to work one on one with autistic job seekers to help them get employed?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, OAR is always looking for more volunteers. Learn more and apply today.
Raise money for autism research
Do you…
- Like to walk, run, or bike? If so, dedicate your miles to autism research.
- Like organizing fun events? Are you a baker? Twitch gamer? If so, learn how you can start your own fundraiser.
- Have little time but want to help out anyway? Here’s how you can make a recurring monthly donation or pay tribute to a friend or loved one.
Show Off Your Impact
- Send us your feedback and photos.
- If you like what OAR does, then share your feedback on the GreatNonprofits website.
- Share your stories and pictures of how you participated in National Autism Acceptance Month. Email them to programs @ researchautism.org or share them on OAR’s Facebook page.
Many of OAR’s successes reflect the commitment and hard work of volunteers, donors, and followers and you are one of them. Thank you for joining our April campaign and for continuing to stay involved with us throughout the year.
