Get Active For Autism Virtually | Organization for Autism Research

OAR News

OAR will hold its second annual Active For Autism 5K as a virtual race this year from July 18 to July 26. How does that work, you ask?

Choose a walk, run, swim, bicycle ride, or treadmill walk/run near your home. Then run, walk, cycle, or swim at your own pace at your own time. This virtual 5K will help spread the autism awareness message across the country and raise money to fund new research and provide free resources to families and educators to help individuals with autism live better lives today.

All proceeds will go to OAR’s new Changing Lives Fund. For this first virtual event, our goal is to raise $40,000, enough to fund a new OAR research study. Any funds raised over $40,000 will go to support OAR’s mission to apply research to the challenges of autism. By your public support for individuals with autism and their families you can change lives while raising important funds to support autism research.

Register for the Active For Autism 5K and set up a fundraising page or make a personal donation.
