SUMMARY:Webinar: Practical Ways to Integrate Wellbeing into Special Education for Teachers and Students
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]\n\nPractical Ways to Integrate Wellbeing into Special Education for Teachers and Students\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]\n\n Register\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]\n\n\n\nPresented by Dr. Patricia Wright, Katie Curran, and Jamie Evanko\nEducators are the backbone of our educational system; championing their well-being is imperative to assuring special education students achieve a high-quality life. The current disability support workforce is experiencing a crisis in recruitment and retention (Billingsley et al., 2019; Laws & Hewitt, 2020). Applying positive psychology interventions has improved job satisfaction for multiple social service professions, including general educators (Zwart et al, 2015) and healthcare professionals (Oi et al., 2014). \nWithin the special education classroom, autistic students’ mental health crisis continues to require immediate support and resources. The application of positive psychology in education, often referred to as Positive Education, has demonstrated success in academic growth and emotional wellbeing for students (Seligman et al, 2009; Wenjie, et al., 2020).  \nCome celebrate the International Day of Happiness with us as we explore immediately applicable ideas and ready-made materials for educators to implement for themselves and their students.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”bottom”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2507″ img_size=”100×100″ alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\nFree to Participate\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2547″ img_size=”100×100″ alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\nRecorded and Archived\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”7565″ img_size=”100×100″ alignment=”center”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\n Certificate of Attendance\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”5rem”][vc_column_text]If you have any questions or comments about this event or if you would like to request specific webinar topics for the future, please contact us at programs@researchautism.org or call 571-977-5391 ( tel:571-977-5391 ).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes” el_id=”register”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”5rem”][vc_column_text]\n\nRegister for the Webinar:\n \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]\n
